We would like to welcome all the new children into Bumblebees and say how impressed we are with how they have settled into nursery. On a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday your teacher is Nicola Statham and on Thursday/Friday Caroline Tompkins. Clare Hartley and Terri Miller will be working with your children all week making sure they have fun and enjoy their time in Bumblebees.
In the Bumblebees room we play and have fun while we learn. We explore indoors and outdoors where we have chance to learn and practice new skills. While your child is with us they will enjoy lots of play experiences including sand, water, playdough, messy play, baking and role play.
We love spending time in our garden playing on our climbing frames and in our big sand and water trays. We play outside whatever the weather, there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
We encourage children to join in with short, fun and interactive carpet times, where we practise our counting and listening. We love to dance and sing and hope that everyone leaves with a big smile on their face.
This half term we will be welcoming lots of new children into our Bumblebees nursery. We are excited to meet them all and to get to know them. We will begin the half term by thinking about ourselves and our birthday celebrations. We also start to learn some nursery rhymes, the children will build walls for Humpty Dumpty and make webs for Incy Wincy Spider. We will finish the half term by reading the book 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' learning colour words and the names of the animals in the story.
Autumn 2
This half term in Bumblebees we will begin by looking at Autumn, we will explore pumpkins, pinecones, Autumn leaves and conkers. Everyone will make Autumn play dough and make homemade bird food to hang in the nursery garden.
We will also be reading the story of 'The Gingerbread Man'. We will retell the story using puppets, count his buttons and even bake our very own Gingerbread Man.
Towards the end of the half term, we look forwards to celebrating Christmas together and hope to have a sing-along for all the parents.
